India Poland signs film and TV co-production treaty
This treaty is signed in Warsaw by Federal Minister of India Information & Broadcasting minister Ambika SONI and Poland's Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bogdan Zdrojewski, the time span of this agreement to be in force for an initial five year period.
The agreement specifies the need for both co-producers to make effective contributions to the film and says that the financial contribution of the minority partner should normally be not less than 20% of the budget.
"One of the key highlights of the agreement is the coverage of filming and animation work, including the storyboard, layout, key animation and in between as well as sound recording. Salient features of the agreement covers laboratory processing activities and facilitates movement of film equipment and associated infrastructure required for co-production," the I&B ministry said in a statement.
Agreement with Poland is India's seventh bilateral co-production treaty other countries alike treaties with Italy, the UK, Germany, Brazil, France and New Zealand.
