India beat Sri Lanka 7 wickets in Indore

India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in Indore. Virat Kohli hit an unbeaten 30 as India beat Sri Lanka by sevenwickets in the second Twenty20 international in Indore on Tuesday.
Cricket, India secured a massive seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second T20 International match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore last night. With this victory, the host team has taken a 1-0 lead over Sri Lanka in the three-match T20 International series. The first match was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.
Chasing a target of 143 runs, India got off to a flying start as Shikhar Dhawan and K L Rahul consolidated the Indian innings with remarkable performances. K L Rahul put up 45 runs and Shikhar Dhawan scored 32. Skipper Virat Kohli played an unbeaten knock of 30 runs from 17 balls in the match.
India made 144 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 17.3 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets for the visitors.
Earlier, the fast-bowling duo of Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur picked up five wickets to restrict Sri Lanka to a modest score of 142 for 9 in the stipulated 20 overs on a flat pitch.
Navdeep, who scalped two wickets for 18 runs, was adjudged Player of the Match.
The third and final T20 International between both teams will be played on Friday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Finland voice for peace in ME, Iraq,Iran

On Tuesday 7 January 2020, the Finland President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the tense situation in Iraq, Iran and the Middle East.
The President and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy stated that all parties should avoid violence and actions that could lead to further escalation of the situation. The international community, especially the EU, must act to ease the situation.
The President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the effects of the escalating situation on Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), an operation of the International Coalition against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, in which Finland participates. In addition, Finland participates in the civilian crisis management operation EU Advisory Mission in Iraq (EUAM Iraq) and has one person working on the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI) operation.
