The storm claimed two lives and left a trail of destruction in union territory of Pudducherry.
The
two causalities were due to house collapse. A few houses in the coastal
areas collapsed and a several others damaged under very strong winds
with a speed of about 140 kmph.
Puducherians
woke up to see their historic place virtually turned into a ghost town,
with a large number of trees, high mast lamps, traffic signals and
transformers uprooted across the roads.
