Tell Mark Zuckerberg: No Facebook for five-year-olds

Respected Sir / Madam,
As you may be aware, Facebook has launched an application specially for 5 year old kids called “Messenger Kids“.
People are criticizing about it worldwide and we as  Social Activist Group members of Mumbai are against this Facebook Move, would request all media fraternity to cover this news and create awareness so that children’s do not fall in trap of social media at young age and get influence.
Such social media app can put bad effect on child and they may easily come across other hazardous game like ‘Blue Whale’.
Research shows that adolescent social media use is linked to depression, poor sleep, and unhealthy body image – and now Facebook is targeting even younger kids. Facebook’s Messenger Kids is the first major social media platform designed for young children. It features stickers, emojis, and animations to keep kids coming back to the app again and again. Younger children aren’t equipped to deal with the interpersonal challenges and addictive power of social media. And moving friendships online displaces the face-to-face interactions crucial for developing empathy and healthy relationships. Help us protect childhood by telling Mark Zuckerberg: No Facebook for five-year-olds!
So if you agree. kindly click on this link to sign the Petition to Mark Zuckerberg to remove this page/app from their site.

Even New York Time has published article with title ‘Turn Off Messenger Kids, Health Experts Plead to Facebook
For details please read the trailing mail.

Gaurang,

Facebook wants to get young kids hooked on social media, and we need your help to stop them.

In December, Facebook rolled out Messenger Kids, the first major social media app for children under 13. Today, CCFC sent Facebook a letter signed by more than 100 leading experts and advocates detailing how Messenger Kids will undermine children’s healthy development.

Will you join us in telling Facebook to scrap the app?

Facebook Messenger Kids has no lower age limit. Given Facebook’s enormous reach, the app is likely to normalize social media use by kids as young as five. But there’s a wealth of research linking adolescent social media use to depression, poor sleep habits, and unhealthy body image – and younger children are even less equipped to deal with the interpersonal challenges and addictive power of social media.
Messenger Kids’ emojis, colorful stickers, and animations are designed to draw and hold children’s attention even if they’re too young to type. Kids will want to stay on the app for its fun design, and because it’s where their friends are. But moving friendships online displaces the genuine interactions crucial for developing empathy and healthy relationships. And the app’s enticements will make it harder to set screen time limits, something more than half of parents already say is a “constant battle.”

Facebook asserts that Messenger Kids will provide a safe alternative for the kids who have been lying their way onto social media platforms designed for teens and adults. But the 11- and 12-year-olds already on Snapchat, Instagram, or Facebook won’t switch to an app clearly designed for young kids. Messenger Kids is not responding to a need. It’s creating one.

Please sign our petition and tell Mark Zuckerberg to wield his immense influence in a way that helps children thrive: no Facebook for five-year-olds!

Thanks,

Economic survey Misleading

Economic Survey Misleading – Negative Exports, Patents Zero
February01, 2018 (C) Ravinder Singh progressindia2015@gmail.com
The Economic Survey 2018 is misleading and found excuses for Poor Economic Performance. I am referring to just two.
1. Exports way below 2013 level.
In April-Nov 2013 exports were $204b and Imports were $304b and Trade Deficit was $100b. But in this Petroleum Imports accounted for $111b.
In April-Nov 2017 exports were $197b and Imports were $296b and Trade Deficit was $100b. But in this Petroleum Imports accounted for only $66b.
In April-Nov 2017 Non Oil Imports increased to $231b compared to $193b for same period in  2013.
2.  India Worst in Patent Filing – Bogus Patents means Zero.

WIPO IPR data is FALSELY Presented in Economic Survey. PATENTS IN FORCE IS THE ACTIVE FACTOR IN PATENT OFFICE RANKING, India is 24 but practically Zero when Quality of Patents, and their Commercialization and in per capita.

Switzerland filed twice more patents 45,658 than (India 23,946), Granted 4 Times more Patents to Residents 3,446 (822) and had 162,761 Patents in Force (47,113) and Rank 9 in Patents in Force (24).

POPULATION OF INDIA IS 150 TIMES OF SWITZERLAND.
[8.18 — According to the WIPO, India is the 7th largest Patent Filing Office in the World. In 2015, India registered 45,658 patents in comparison to China (1,101,864), USA (589,410), Japan (318,721), Republic of Korea (213,694), and Germany (91,726). However, India produces fewer patents/capita (Figure 4).]

Indians Filed 23,946 Patents in India and Abroad but residents Indians were granted 822 Patents in 2015.

In this 822 most are Process Patents which have no recognition in the world which recognizes PRODUCT Patents. Then CSIR & IITs and Companies file BOGUS Patents which have no commercial value – like the Mixture of Adhesives by IIT Kanpur – Head of Chemical Engineering.

Great Britain has 458,422 Patents in Force, (45,113), Italy granted 8807 Patents to her residents (822),

Sweden granted 3397 Patents to her residents (822) and 93,545 Patents were in force (45,113)

Denmark granted 995 Patents to residents (822) and 52,321 Patents were in force (45,113).

Population of Delhi is Three Times of Denmark.

Dear Naresh

Naresh,
President Trump was at it again last night. In his State of the Union address, he tried to sow fear of immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers under the pretense of protecting national security and fighting gang violence.
He held up the tragic cases of children killed by the brutal gang MS-13 to argue for closing America’s doors to refugee children fleeing that same threat.
So much for “the home of the brave.”
When President Trump talks about “loopholes” in the immigration system, we know what he means. Trump aims to scare us into whittling away at the safeguards that allow families fleeing violence to seek asylum—and freedom—in the United States.
Join us as we defend our clients and help them find safety. Like Gabriela*: A human rights lawyer who fled El Salvador with her children after receiving death threats from MS-13. Now that her family has won asylum, she’s using her legal skills to help other survivors of violence.
We fight fear every day by making sure people like Gabriela get protection through our pro bono refugee representation work.
And we’re countering Trump’s dangerous attempts to use inflammatory and inaccurate claims to make Americans fear refugees.
Sincerely,
Sharon Kelly McBride
