Dear N.K ,
Africa is currently experiencing strong economic growth projections over the next few decades.
The transport sector can accelerate and intensify trade in Africa, with rail in particular to play a vital role in the conveyance of freight over long distances.

THE OC IS CALIFORNIA’S “OTHER” ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL

Mumbai, 26th September, 2016- When ‘entertainment’ tops the vacation wish list, many global travelers think of London, Rio, New York and Los Angeles. While these big cities dazzle with flashy stage shows, museums and carnivals, they also come with high price tags, heavy traffic and crowds. Orange County, California offers a fresh alternative for those seeking world-class culture and entertainment, without the big-city hassle.
Located on the California coast south of Los Angeles, Orange County benefits from its proximity to the “entertainment capital of the world,” which serves as a magnet for talent from all across the globe. Dancers, playwrights, musicians, actors and artists of every ilk come to Southern California and create a thriving cultural scene that extends well beyond the borders of Hollywood. In the heart of Orange County, the city of Costa Mesa is home to the famed Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Repertory Theater, two venues where visitors can experience Broadway musicals, international operas, new theatrical plays, and innovative dance productions. In coastal Laguna Beach, painters and crafters populate an abundance of thriving art galleries and popular arts and crafts festivals. Music lovers will likewise find plenty to love, whether it’s big-arena pop concerts or world-class symphonies.
Arts
Art, music, and theater are some of the signature activities in Costa Mesa, underscoring the city’s reputation as the City of the Arts ™.  The district’s centerpiece is theSegerstrom Center for the Arts, known for its striking architecture, superb acoustics and world-class performances. The Center presents the world’s finest ballet companies, Broadway shows, concerts by renowned orchestras and chamber ensembles, jazz and cabaret artists, and family entertainment in its three theatres. The Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall is the primary venue for the Pacific Symphony, the Pacific Chorale and the Philharmonic Society-all purveyors of quality musical experiences. The venues are joined together by an outdoor plaza and dramatic pieces of public art can be found throughout the complex and surrounding neighborhood. Orange County’s Tony-Award winning regional theatre, South Coast Repertory, stands adjacent to the Center.
Artists have been the heartbeat of Laguna Beach for over a century, attracted by OC’s most dramatically beautiful stretch of coastline. Check out the Laguna Art Museum, founded by those early artists. Enjoy the three lively summer art festivals: Festival of ArtsArt-A-Fair and Sawdust Festival.
You can explore the full spectrum of California art at these OC museums and galleries:The Irvine Museum specializes in California art of the Impressionist period (1890-1930);Laguna Art Museum, founded by the county’s earliest artists, exhibits the full spectrum of California art; Orange County Museum of Art specializes in post-war contemporary art including new media.
Culture
The OC is the birthplace of surf culture in California and Huntington Beach – aka Surf City USA – the local waves make Surf City USA the hub of surf activity in Orange County. In fact, the biggest surf contest in the world, the U.S. Open of Surfing, is held annually in early August.

Head to Santa Ana’s Bowers Museum to see some of the world’s great cultural treasures on exhibit, or join in one of the many cultural festivals the museum hosts throughout the year. You can always count on the San Juan Capistrano Library’s Multicultural Arts Series and Historic Mission (founded in 1776), the Philharmonic Society and the Irvine Barclay Theatre for strong programming featuring performing artists from many cultural traditions around the globe.

Entertainment
The OC is world-famous for it’s family entertainment like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm but The OC offers plenty of entertainment outside of the area’s two big theme parks.  A must-stop for international visitors, Buena Park is known for incredible interactive dinner and show venues, in addition to Knott’s Berry Farm.  Medieval Times, families experience a royal feast inside of a castle as they watch knights battle on horseback to fight for the highest honor of being their champion. The Pirate’s Dinner Adventure sends families on a seaside adventure with a dining experience filled with dashing pirates, joyful singing and daring fights.

The OC has also had it’s time on the big screen. Orange County has some of the best views in Southern California and filmmakers seem to think so too. Cities throughout Orange County such as Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Irvine and Dana Point have been featured locations for popular movies like Transformers, Iron Man and Star Trek Into Darkness. The OC’s influence on Hollywood doesn’t stop there. Many OC natives have become famous celebrities, such as Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Michelle Pfeiffer and Gwen Stefani!

Flights and Ground Transportation

Orange County, California is an easily accessible destination for global travelers. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is just 35 miles north of The OC, and offers more than 900 non-stop daily flights from 59 cities in 30 countries. Upon arrival at LAX, it’s just a 45-minute drive to The OC down the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway.

Conveniently located at the intersection of three cities, Orange County Airport (SNA) also welcomes global travelers with non-stop service from Mexico (Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas) and Canada (Vancouver), as well as connecting flights from major international airports in San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston and other hubs.

A car is the most convenient and flexible way to explore Southern California, where train and bus service can be limited. Orange County Airport offers eight on-site rental car companies and 14 more off-site with pick-ups and drop-offs at the terminal; rental cars are also widely available throughout The OC and at LAX. Those who don’t wish to drive can utilize Smart Phone Apps, such as Uber and Lyft, to conveniently summon a driver to any place, any time of day.

City trolleys are a great transportation choice for sightseeing, especially during the peak summer season.  The Laguna Beach Weekend Trolley is free, operating Fridays 4pm-11pm, Saturdays 11am-11pm and Sundays 11am-8pm.  The trolley comes every 20 minutes, perfect for families exploring the beach.
