Nationwide mobile number portability an identity of customer: Prasad

Jul 5 The Minister of Communication and IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad has said with the introduction of the mobile number portability nationwide the number has become an identity of the customer. The service provider has to render best service to the customers. He said the government wants the customer as the king. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio he said the entire network of about one lakh twenty five thousand Post offices will be digitised. The post office network has done e-commerce business of more than 500 crore rupees. The Minister said postal department has a big role to play, because the postman knows every customer.
