Bolivian plane crash
A turboprop plane with 18 people on board has crashed in northern Bolivia, killing eight and leaving the other 10 people injured. The pilot and the co-pilot have survived, and are currently in a serious condition. The plane caught fire as it landed near the border with Brazil, in the small town of Riberalta. The accident occurred during heavy rain. A spokesman for the Bolivian airline said the plane had faced technical issues. "As they were landing, on touchdown, the plane had some kind of problem that led to fire. The people who died sustained multiple injuries and burns," Nelson Kinn told AFP. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the tragedy.
