National Ground Water Association invites nominations for its annual awards The National Ground Water Association is accepting nominations until June 1, 2013 for its annual awards that recognize professional excellence, projects, and service within NGWA and the groundwater industry. Applications can be downloaded at www.NGWA.org/Awards. Award winners will be announced in September and presentations made during NGWA’s 2013 Groundwater Expo and Annual Meeting taking place December 3-6 in Nashville, Tennessee. Patent application focused on unique time released organic hydrogen donor mechanism IET, has, for the first time in the remedial contracting industry developed a mechanism to control the release of nearly any organic hydrogen donor. The IET patent application provides for method to controlling the release rate of the organic hydrogen donors in the solution during reductive dechlorination remedial process by encapsulating the donor in lipid layers.In one embodiment, a lipid bilayer is the effective encapsulating mechanisim, multiple layers may be used to extend the release profile.
