Noda to cooperation with Hollande
Noda telephoned Hollande on Monday to congratulate him on winning
Sunday's presidential runoff.Japan's Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and
France's new president-elect
Francois Hollande have agreed that the two countries will further
cooperate on various issues.
Noda said his government wants to work closely with France on international issues including the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs and European credit concerns. Hollande echoed Noda's view.The two also agreed to cooperate on the start of negotiations on an economic partnership agreement between Japan and the European Union.
