Egypt, a Million Man march has been organized at Tahrir Square in the
capital Cairo to protest against the assaults on women during recent
clashes between the security forces and the protesters. The rally named,” The Restoration of Honor,” is in protest of the
assault on women last week. Video footage showing Egyptian soldiers
beating women and throwing them had surfaced during recent protests in
Cairo.
However, Muslim Brotherhood says it is against preponing the Presidential elections to end the military rule as it will create chaos.
The youth activists are demanding that presidential elections be held on 25th January and the new president should be sworn in on 11 February to coincide it with the stepping down of Mubarak regime on the same day a year ago.
