Murdoch appears before Parliament in UK-phone hacking scandal

United Kingdom, Media tycoon Ruper Murdoch said, on Tuesday is the most humble day of his life as he began appearance before a Parliamentary committee investigating alleged wrongdoings by his journalists. Mr. Murdoch's son James Murdoch appearing alongside him also apologised unreservedly to people whose telephone messages were unlawfully intercepted by the now defunctional newspaper,-The News of the World. The two men were summoned to Parliament following allegations that the paper routinely bribed police for information and hacked the phones of thousands of people including victims of crime and the members of the British Royal Palace.

James Mudoch said there was no evidence of any impropriety by former staff in his organisation who have resigned including the Chief Executive of the News International Rebekah Brooks. Mr. Rupert Murdoch said he was shocked, appalled and ashamed when he was told about the phone hacking by the News of the World, of the phone of the murdered English school girl Milly Dowler.
