Murali talks SRH strategy :
Sri Lanka spin legend said Sunrisers Hyderabad’s strategy going
into the IPL auctions was to look at players that they knew would not be
courted by a majority of the teams. He added that they had targetted
Kevin Pietersen from the beginning and were lucky to get him for his
base price.
Murali also added that SRH will not look at picking many more
players, since they already have a good mix, but a potential target
could be a young spinner as they are currently lacking in that
department.
Yuvi, Sammy react :

Crores to Delhi Daredevils. Dinesh Karthik was bought by RCB for Rs 10.5
Crores. Angelo Mathews too attracted a price of Rs 7.5 Crores.
Unsurprisingly it was Delhi who were the biggest bidders. They
entered the auctions with the biggest purse and have spent quite a lot
from it for Yuvraj and Mathews.
KKR never bid for any player in this set. Rajasthan and CSK bid but
did not buy. Delhi and SRH bought 3 players each, MI, RCB and KXIP got
one each. SRH have been the most impressive in the auctions so far. They
got three big players – Kane Williamson, Kevin Pietersen and Eoin
Morgan – for a combined price for just Rs 4.1 Crores.

at Rs 2.8 Crores with MI. Delhi need time to discuss and raise it to Rs 3
Crores. MI go up to Rs 3.2 Crore and bag him!
Amit Mishra : Sold to Delhi for Rs 3.5 Crores

Bidding war starts between RR and MI. It’s Ponting vs Dravid now

Base Price of Rs 2 Crores. He could be the biggest buy this season as well.
Rajasthan Royals opened up straightaway. Dravid is bidding for RR.
KXIP fight it out with RR. Delhi Daredevils enter the bidding. Dravid vs
Kirsten vs Preity Zinta for Yuvraj now. Ah, here come RCB as well. Bid
passes Rs 7.5 Crores. Yuvraj will be the biggest buy so far.
Bidding only between Delhi and RCB right now. Rs 12 Crores. He went
to RCB for Rs 14 Crores last year. The bid has reached the price and
