Sonia addresses rally in Meghalaya

Congress President Sonia Gandhi today said that the Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance, MUA has been able to prove livelihood security and job opportunities to the people through the Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Promotion Programme. Addressing an election rally at Jowai, in Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, Mrs. Gandhi said that the government will provide the citizens of the State, better health care and education. She added that six new private universities will come up in the State soon.
Pointing out that connectivity is an important component for development, Mrs. Gandhi said the Government is committed for road connectivity in the State.
The Congress President assured that the marginal farmers in the State will be give due attention.
