TÜKÖR - A TRIBUTE TO RELATIONSHIPS
-Exhibition by Neerajj Mittra

In cooperation with the Delhi International Arts Festival

"Everything is a mirror. Everyone is a mirror. Every moment is a mirror. Human being is the ultimate being of introspection. By venturing outwards we venture inwards discovering and unfolding layers of our being. How we relate to others in essence defines how we relate to our own self. Relationship is one such mirror. This is the subject of art that I now present to you. The word Tükör means mirror in Hungarian language. By using paint, metal, motion picture, animation and projection techniques I endeavor to portrait the pursuit of higher sense of self through each other, through one another." quotes Neerajj Mittra

DELTA
-Feature film, directed by Kornél Mundruczó(2008), colour, duration: 98 minutes

A taciturn young man returns to the wild, isolated landscape of the Delta. It is a labyrinth of waterways, small islands and over-grown vegetation, where the villagers are cut off from the outside world. The young man, who has been away since early childhood, is introduced to a sister he never knew he had. Together they build a house on stilts in the middle of the river, far away from everyone else. The silence between them grows. Grows into a dangerous affection: love. One day, they invite the villagers over to share a meal together, but the coarse locals do not accept their "unnatural" relationship.

MIKULÁS DAY
Our Corporate Social Responsibility Initiate-
Christmas is celebrated in many different ways throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Commonly most of the regions' festivities begin with the period of Advent which is four weeks prior to Christmas and the feast of Saint Nicholas on the 6th of December. Although the celebration of the season is shared, each country has developed their specific traditions and customs. On December 6th also known as St. Miklós Day, children set their shoes or boots out overnight for Mikulás. This year the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre will be celebrating MIKULÁS DAY with the children from NAI DISHA SCHOOL.
